The mission of the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce is to promote and maintain the community’s continued economic vitality and quality of life by: creating and supporting a positive environment for business; articulating business concerns; and encouraging cooperation among Palo Alto businesses and between the business community and city government, residents and other key constituencies.

• Taking Political Action The Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1910, is an independent, nonprofit, voluntary association of business people working to improve the City’s economic and civic vitality.

The organization, which currently has approximately 700 members, is comprised of small businesses, retailers, hotels, restaurants, nonprofit organizations, educational and health institutions, major corporations, professionals and many other types of businesses. To Palo Alto businesses, residents and visitors, the Chamber is an indispensable resource for information: from lodging or restaurant listings to business referrals, business start-up kits, maps and relocation packets. We are the community library of regional and local attractions, activities, and amenities.
